The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 credential is the premier certification for professionals who implement and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases. The certification is appropriate for individuals who derive physical database designs, develop logical data models, create physical databases, create data services by using Transact-SQL, manage and maintain databases, configure and manage security, monitor and optimise databases, and install and configure SQL Server.

The MCDBA on SQL Server 2000 certification is appropriate for:

The ECDL, CompTIA A+ and N+ certification is included in this programme and provides both foundation training as well as separate and distinct credentials.

Earning the ECDL certification proves that a candidate has a broad base of knowledge and competency in using the computer and managing files, word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, and information and communication.

Earning the CompTIA A+ and N+ certification proves that a candidate has a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and networking.

Programme Delivery

The programme consists of seven study units allowing students to focus
on working through specific areas in a logical order.

Each unit prepares students for specific exams by providing clear
guidance through the course materials combined with individual support from qualified mentors.

In order to maintain an efficient flow of information and to ensure that effective support can be offered, tests and mock exams are sent to students at key stages throughout the programme. This allows a student's progress to be monitored and logged on Computrain's student management system so that support can be provided where necessary.
